Pocketgov Privacy

First off, this project is built on top of the existing Report a Problem infrastructure that is maintained by the City of Denver. Therefore our privacy policy is the same as theirs, excet for 2 minor changes. The city's privacy policy can be found here.

The two additions to this policy are:

  1. Submissions are being anonymised and sent to a public Airtable. This allows others to study the data for any other projects they may be working on. We chose Airtable specifically because it automatically creates an API based on our schema, this way people have more ways to interact with the data if they want to.
  2. Reported issues are also being sent to a public Trello board. This gives the City an opportunity to be more transparent, engage with citizens on a new level, and to grant us all a limited peek into their day to day operations. We know this will go a long way in building rapport between residents and the City, and creates an awesome precedent as we trudge forward into the digital era.

No identifiable information is sent into these public repositories.
